Yep, agreed. This post is relevant to people who otherwise like the company they work for and want to stay, and would like to progress.

From what I've seen, I also think many people leave too soon – coming back to point 2. Rather than have the tough conversations or put in the time at their existing place, it's easier to jump ship. But that only gets you so far. The more senior you are, the bigger the challenges and the longer you'll need to stay somewhere to see things through and actually learn.
